Summary :   The Controller will be a key player with the plant management team by providing key analysis and insights to guide decision-making, as well as taking a leadership role in challenging the plant to improve financial performance. This individual will provide strong leadership and partnership to the plant and leadership teams to ensure the financial accounting and reporting needs of the plant are met to enable the plant management team to meet their financial goals and objectives. The Controller will ensure all plant and business accounting / reporting, compliance is maintained done in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with So Good So You policies.

The ideal candidate will also help guide business and financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, enforcing and recommending implementation of accounting policies and procedures to effectively manage working capital. and accounting processes and procedures. WHAT YOU’LL DO :

• Oversees daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger accounting and cash management
• Directs and coordinates annual budget and quarterly forecasting functionsMonitors and analyze monthly operating results against budget
• Establish and maintain Cost Accounting standards for all inventory itemsResponsible for the hiring, training, and performance management of the department staff
• Manages the preparation of all financial reports, historical and future forecasts in accordance with US GAAP
• Works with other department leadership to achieve company goals and objectives
• Develops and periodically updates short and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
• Serves on resource allocation committee and other company committees or teams, as desired and necessary
• Manages financial and tax audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory reporting requirements
• Responsible for maintaining a food safe work environment and in the event it is perceived that it is compromised, action is to be taken which includes stopping the process and notifying the production supervisor, assistant supervisor, or lead on duty
• Understands and upholds B Corp principles which consider all stakeholder groups : community, customers, environment, governance and workers.
