Job Description

Hourly Pay Range :

$33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

$20K Sign-On Bonus with 2 year commitment

Position Highlights :

  • Position : Respiratory The
  • Location : Highland Park Hospital
  • Full time : 40 hours per week
  • Hours : Mix of Evenings and Nights 3 : 00pm-11 : 30pm and 7 : 00pm to 7 : 30am and 11 : 00pm -7 : 30am. Must be able to work Evening shifts every other weekend
  • Required Travel : No

What will you need :

  • License : Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required
  • Education : Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of respiratory therapy required
  • Certification : CPR (BLS)
  • Experience : 6 months experience in a health care setting preferred; 1 year of adult critical care experience, neonatal or adult, preferred

    • What you will do :

  • Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
  • Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
  • Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
  • Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
  • Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
  • Provide patient and staff education
