Biller / AR Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Biller / AR Specialist with solid experience in hospital billing and managing claims across all payerscommercial and government. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with Optum / Change Healthcare Billing Systems and Cerner, bringing at least 23 years of proven billing and AR experience.

This role is crucial in ensuring accurate claim submission, timely reimbursements, and reducing denials, all while keeping the revenue cycle flowing smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit claims to insurance payers (commercial and government).
• Work with Optum / Change Healthcare Billing System to ensure accurate billing processes.
• Utilize Cerner for patient account management and charge entry.
• Review claims for accuracy and compliance before submission.
• Research and resolve payer rejections, denials, and underpayments.
• Follow up on outstanding AR balances to ensure timely collections.
• Maintain current knowledge of payer requirements, regulations, and billing guidelines.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and other departments for claim resolutions.
