CVT Needed - REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS : ARDMS BLS EXPERIENCE : 2 Years Required JOB DUTIES : -Prepares and sets-up equipment to ensure interpretable results; explains methods and procedure to patient; evaluates patient's total condition throughout the test. Selects and operates equipment as directed. -Records and calculates all necessary parameters and performs ECG tracings for diagnostic purposes. -Sets up and checks equipment for cardiac testing and administers exam to patients. -Reviews and evaluates completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered; ensures quality images. -Participates in the coordination of ambulatory ECG monitor program; sends record of the patient monitor usage for billing to central office for processing; prepare Cardiology reports for physician's evaluation. -Performs tests with portable equipment in patient room when necessary. -Obtains patient history, answers patients question. Positions patient on table and explains basic procedure. -Positions and transfers patients comfortably. Observe patient for any unusual reactions or events. -Maintains department records, reports, and files as required. -Maintains records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients. -Assists medical staff during special procedures. -Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
