Job Summary :

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical / Surgical unit in Fort Bragg. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver nursing care to patients with diverse diagnoses, including pneumonia, urinary tract infections, post-operative care, pain management, fractures, and dementia.
• Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 1 : 6 or less during the day shift, with occasional adjustments based on acuity and staffing.
• Monitor and assess patients through vital signs checks, ambulation assistance, and support with daily living activities.
• Titrate intravenous drips as needed, primarily using Cardizem, while refreshing knowledge of policies and procedures due to infrequent use.
• Collaborate with the Charge Nurse for floor support; Charge Nurse typically does not take an assignment but covers the ER as needed.
• Work alongside one patient care technician each shift to assist with non-invasive duties such as vital signs and patient rounding.
• Administer respiratory treatments and educate patients on their care; manage breathing treatments and chest physiotherapy as necessary.
• Read and interpret cardiac strips independently.
