TITLE : Instructional Paraprofessional

EMPLOYMENT TERMS : 0.875 FTE / 9-month

SALARY CLASSIFICATION : Classified

GENERAL STATEMENT of RESPONSIBILITIES :

This employee is responsible for assisting the teacher in organizing and implementing an instructional academic addition this employee will assist students individually and / or small group in the classroom. This employee will work under direct supervision of a teacher or teachers.

• Assist the teacher with maintaining a classroom environment conducive to effective learning.
• Assist with duties that require movement of students.

OCCUPATIONAL CONDITION :

Medium risk - Work is routinely performed in both indoor and outdoor environments including exposure to noise and being on your feet for extended periods of time. Requires standing in inclement weather including summer heat.

The evaluation is done by the Exceptional Student Services Director with input from site principals in accordance with provisions specified in governing board policy.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED :

The Instructional Paraprofessional reports directly to the Exceptional Student Services Director.
