Unit Overview :
Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , caring for patients with a variety of complex conditions, including :
Post-operative craniotomies, bleed evacuations, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Patients with hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery cases, along with medical overflow situations.As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you will gain exposure to the latest neurosurgical techniques and innovative patient care.

Conduct thorough assessments, plan individualized care, and engage patients and families in care delivery.Recognize significant changes in patient status and alter care plans as necessary.Implement strategies to enhance patient safety and assess learning readiness.Cooperate with the interdisciplinary team on discharge planning and evidence-based practices.Participate in safety culture and proactively identify patient safety threats.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and professional growth opportunities.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Registered Nurse license for the state of practice.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).Education and Experience Required :
Completion of an accredited nursing program.Minimum of 1 year in clinical nursing preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Focus on holistic patient care and adaptability in clinical situations.Proficiency in computer skills and electronic medical records.Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
