A company is looking for a Financial Clearance Specialist - Remote.
Key Responsibilities :
Initiates contact with insurance companies to verify patient eligibility and gather billing information
Estimates patient financial liabilities and processes payments while addressing patient inquiries
Ensures pre-certification and referrals are in place prior to services and reschedules appointments as needed
Required Qualifications :
Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.; business concentration preferred
Four plus years of experience in a business office setting, preferably in a healthcare environment
Prior experience in hospital revenue cycle or collection agency is required
Working knowledge of personal computers and business office applications preferred
Familiarity with hospital computer systems and knowledge of third-party collections preferred
