Behavior Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION $21 - $25 per hour

The Behavior Technician works one-on-one with children and / or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and similar developmental delays and behavioral health challenges. They implement the Behavior Plan (BP) designed and maintained by the Clinical Supervisor (BCBA) in areas including language / communication, social and play skills, self-help skills, and de-escalation of challenges behaviors. The BT collects quantifiable data and narrative summaries necessary for the Clinical Supervisor to evaluate the effectiveness of the BP in achieving identified goals and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Follows the instructions and Behavior Plan created by the BCBA / clinical supervisor
• Provides behavior assistance / interventions to assigned clients
• Implements goals and objectives utilizing strategies based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Implements de-escalation and crisis intervention
• Implements behavior support plans
• Collects data and documents session per policies and procedures
• Communicates progress and concerns with Clinical Supervisor and Office Leadership
• Performs other duties as assigned
