Civil Transportation Engineer - Principal Engineer

Location : San Francisco, California

Industry : Engineering / Industrial

Employment Type : Full-Time | On-Site (May consider relocation for the right candidate)

Salary Range : $150,000 - $180,000

Position Summary :

A leading industrial engineering firm in San Francisco, CA is seeking an experienced Civil Transportation Engineer - Principal Engineer. This on-site role is perfect for a senior-level professional with expertise in transportation engineering and a strong leadership mindset to guide projects and teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the planning, design, and management of civil transportation engineering projects
  • Oversee project delivery, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and public agencies
  • Provide technical expertise and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Prepare and review engineering reports, proposals, and documentation

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in civil transportation engineering
  • Proven leadership experience managing complex projects and teams
  • Strong knowledge of transportation systems, infrastructure design, and regulations
