Location: Orlando, FL

Pay Rate: $26/hr +

Schedule Options:

• 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, Day Shift, plus OT
• Hours: ~10-hour shifts

Position Summary

A leading logistics and event-support organization is seeking 2 Diesel Mechanics to join their transportation and fleet maintenance team. The ideal candidates will be skilled in diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance for tractors and trailers, with strong knowledge of DOT requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish communication and brake certifications are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel tractors, box trucks, and trailers.
• Perform DOT inspections and complete accurate, compliant documentation.
• Service and repair brake systems, suspensions, electrical systems, hydraulics, engines, and transmissions.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance (PMs) on all fleet equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools, manuals, and software.
• Maintain an active brake certification and perform brake-related repairs.
• Keep clear and accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports.
• Communicate repair status, timelines, and mechanical issues with supervisors, drivers, and team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe shop environment aligned with OSHA standards.
• Support a team-oriented environment and provide bilingual assistance when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a huge plus
• Brake Certification
• DOT Certification or DOT mechanic experience
• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (tractors & trailers)
• Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical diagnostics, and trailer repair
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts, including weekends
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a shop environment

• Fast-paced shop
• Frequent use of power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and PPE
• Indoor and outdoor work depending on operational needs

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
