Reports to : Cold Zone Manager

Yard Jockey Job Summary :

This position is responsible for efficiently and safely moving trailers in and out of dock doors and to the designated areas coordinating with the warehouse team and performing material handling tasks as needed. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a smooth flow of operations in the yard.

Yard Jockey Duties / Responsibilities :

• Operate yard trucks and spotting equipment to move trailers within the

yard and to the designated spots in an orderly and efficient manner.

Inform proper parties of defective equipment and knowledge of out-of-service policies.

Effectively communicate with warehouse leads and office personnel the trailer numbers and dock doors associated with them.

Yard Jockey Skills / Abilities :

Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless flow of operations.

Yard Jockey Education and Experience :

Required : Possess a willingness to learn to operate tractor-trailers on private property

Yard Jockey Physical and / or Travel Requirements :

Can perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
