The UW Medicine - Primary Care Clinics has an outstanding opportunity to hire a Hospital Security Officer. This position will float to all Primary Care Clinic locations (Federal Way, Kent / Des Moines, and Ballard). Part-time; 50% FTE; 20 hours per week; variable shifts.

Position highlights include :

• Work to maintain security and safety through inspection of buildings and grounds
• Ensure a safe, secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors in a way that promotes the healing and teaching mission of UW Medicine - Primary Care
• The candidate will possess superior customer service skills, offering support and understanding in dealing with patients, staff, faculty and visitors to the medical center
• Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First

The department description is as follows :

UW Medicine Primary Care Clinic Hospital Security Officers, under general direction, provide security work to protect life and property; enforce administrative policies, laws, and ordinances; maintain order, and prevent and investigate crime. Hospital Security Officers provide assistance and effective problem resolution for patients, staff, and visitors at the Ballard Clinic, in both patient and non-patient areas. A dynamic team committed to making continuous improvements, and to protecting and caring for our people and property.
