Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking skilled MIG welders to join our team. You will be responsible for performing MIG welds on 18 gauge mild steel up to 1/2 inch mild steel. Your role will include fabricating and welding parts and assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment, safety railings, and other pavement machine components. You will primarily perform Butt & fill welds and will also handle grinding and finishing as needed on parts.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welds on 18 gauge to 1/2 inch mild steel.
• Fabricate and weld parts and assemblies for pavement maintenance equipment.
• Perform Butt & fill welds majority of the time.
• Conduct grinding and finishing on parts as required.

Essential Skills

• MIG welding experience and/or technical degree.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints & weld symbols.
• High School Diploma.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• MIG welding on mild steel is a plus.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading.
• Experience with Flux core and stainless steel welding.
• Proficiency in using tape measures and working with sheet metal.

Work Environment

The work environment is a large warehouse-like facility where both fabrication and assembly of equipment for the industrial roofing industry takes place. Most materials used are mild steel, and the workstations are clean and well-organized. The company also utilizes outsourced piece parts including motors, pneumatic components, and electronics.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
