Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Jersey

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Med / Surg Telemetry nursing

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting

Med / Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Medical Surgical Telemetry unit

Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry readings

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Accurately document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Educate patients and families regarding care plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
