Salary : $24.50-26.00

General Description
Under general supervision, provide evaluation and treatment of substance use disorder clients. Maintains confidentiality and ethical standards as identified by the NYS Education Department, NASW or other relevant governing bodies. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff, adhering to established agency communication protocols.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides treatment and evaluation for substance use disorder clients and their families in the clinical programs.
Carries a caseload of clients; is the lead on delivery of clinical services including
Treatment plans
Presenting case reviewsProvides individual and group treatment for clients in program.Provides family sessions to engage clients in family into treatment and address treatment issues.Provides group sessions for clients on relevant issues such as addiction education, anger management, domestic violence, physical wellness, etc.Engages and supports clients in behavioral modification through use of treatment plansComplete all necessary documentation related to client services in compliance with Agency and regulatory standards.Communicate with appropriate Agency staff, criminal justice agencies and related community organizations to assure coordination of client services.Completes psychosocial assessments of substance use disorder clients to determine appropriate services.Performs written psychosocial assessment, takes relevant history and completes screening tools with clients to determine treatment recommendations and level of care.
Refers clients to treatment within the agency or appropriate community services to best meet client needs, advocating on client's behalf when appropriate.Provide referral to and coordination of family therapy sessions with the Family Therapist assigned to residenceProvides immediate feedback to the agencies and individuals involved with client referral or care.Engages family members or collateral individuals for feedback and collaboration when appropriate.Informs supervisor of significant events / issues related to clients as needed and follows program’s defined incident reporting process as required.Attends regular clinical supervision, program and departmental meetings, and case reviewParticipates in appropriate interagency meetings with other treatment agencies and community groups as required.Complete all necessary paperwork related to client services in compliance with Agency and regulatory standards.Enters client information into Electronic Medical record to complete assessments.
Maintains written records of goals and progress of clients.Participates in relevant Agency meetings and / or trainingsActively pursues development of professional competencies related to job performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops.Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and DiverseRequirements : Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field preferred. Equivalent Combination of education and experience will be considered.
Credentials : QHP credentials are required– CASAC, LMSW, LCSW, NCCC, LMHC, CRC, RN, or PhD, CASAC-T. MSW or MHC will be accepted.
Experience : Minimum of one year of clinical experience working in a substance use disorder or mental health services field.
