About this Role
NorthStar Energy Services, a provider of engineering, design, procurement, and construction services for the oil & gas, pipeline, & petrochemical sectors is seeking a proactive and experienced Construction Manager to serve as a key liaison between the Director of Construction and field-based superintendents. This leadership role is based in Houston, TX , with travel required to project sites throughout the region. The Construction Manager will oversee the execution of complex energy and infrastructure construction projects, ensuring operational alignment between planning and field activities while promoting safety, quality, and schedule adherence across all phases of execution.
What You'll Do
- Act as the central communication point between senior construction leadership and on-site superintendents across multiple job sites
- Review construction work plans, project schedules, resource forecasts, and ensure alignment across disciplines and field crews
- Monitor progress and performance across all assigned sites; provide support in resolving constructability issues or delays
- Ensure that field execution aligns with design intent, budget constraints, and contractual obligations
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to implement productivity improvements, safety initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies
- Support weekly site walks, QA / QC inspections, and audits; compile reports for executive and client review
- Coordinate subcontractor performance, material readiness, and equipment utilization across multiple scopes
- Assist in forecasting labor / equipment needs, sequencing work packages, and validating completion milestones
- Promote consistency in documentation, field reporting, and progress tracking across the construction portfolio
What You'll Bring
11+ years of experience in construction field operations, with 3+ years in a supervisory or construction management capacityStrong working knowledge of civil and mechanical scopes across heavy industrial or petrochemical projectsProven ability to coordinate across multiple superintendents, crews, and subcontractorsFamiliarity with interpreting drawings, work packages, project schedules, and production tracking systemsExcellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skillsExperience with scheduling tools (., Primavera P6) and Microsoft 365 suite, preferredWillingness to travel regularly and work on-site during active project phasesWhat You'll Get
