About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse Manager to lead our Cardiac Surgery and Thoracic Transplant team in a state-of-the-art surgical pavilion. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the region’s most prestigious hospitals, nationally recognized for excellence in patient care and innovation.

As the Nurse Manager, you will provide 24 / 7 leadership and accountability for unit operations, staff performance, and patient outcomes. You’ll oversee a team of 20–25 professionals, including nurses, surgical techs, anesthesia techs, and perioperative assistants, supported by two Assistant Nurse Managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily operations for the Cardiac Surgery / Thoracic Transplant OR.
• Develop strategic goals aligned with organizational mission and vision.
• Foster a patient- and family-centered healing environment.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and recruitment in collaboration with HR.
• Oversee performance evaluations, promotions, and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional standards.
• Monitor and manage departmental budget and performance metrics.
• Champion evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

6–8 years in Cardiac Surgery / Thoracic Transplant nursing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00 / yr.
