Lead a dedicated team that supports the companys mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint venture, and strategic partnership efforts. Coordinate all activities supporting these efforts including : negotiation, financial analysis, legal review, and communications with senior management. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
- Lead and manage Krogers activities related to mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
- Design and manage a dedicated M&A due diligence team in partnership with the Director of Finance M&A
- Act as team lead on cross functional due diligence team for mergers; understand and assist in the preparation of financial valuation models and develop insights and sensitivities to ensure senior management understands key risks and valuation drivers
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders on strategies for potential third party transactions
- Lead and facilitate all aspects of due diligence efforts related to third party transactions, which requires independent judgment and presenting to executive leaders without the guidance of department leaders
- Represent Kroger in discussions and negotiations with external parties for potential transactions; lead multiple negotiations at one time
- Coordinate activities with legal resources for review of contracts and documentation related to third party transactions
- Present findings and make recommendations to senior management with clarity and confidence
- Travel for meetings with internal stakeholders and negotiations external third parties
