The candidate will support the Quantum Sensing Technologies team to design build and test an atomic and optical experimental systems at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt MD.

Required Education Experience & Skills :

• M.S. in experimental physics quantum information sciences or closely related field
• Five years minimum demonstrated expertise in experimental or applied atomic or quantum information physics optics or other closely related fields.
• At least five years of experience in using building and characterizing laser systems for applications in quantum sensing or atom interferometry
• Position requires strong verbal and written communications skills.
• US Citizen or Green Card holder.

Preferred Experience & Skills :

Experience and / or Education in lieu of these qualifications will be reviewed for applicability to meet these requirements.

Basic Compensation :

$125700.00 - $188600.00

The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidates working location knowledge skills and / or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation :

KBR may offer bonuses commissions or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus relocation benefits short term incentives long term incentives or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
