Security Guard - Shelter Rounds Patrol

As a Security Guard - Shelter Rounds Patrol in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a shelter location. Your presence helps to deter security-related incidents and supports a welcoming environment for all. By conducting routine patrols and providing excellent customer service, you play a key role in upholding our company's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $18.02 / Hour

Job Schedule :

Day Time Wed 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Fri 03 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Sat 07 : 30 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Sun 03 : 30 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients, residents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within the shelter environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities and / or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as required, including guiding individuals during evacuation or other emergencies.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and promote a welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
  • Document observations, activities, and incidents in daily reports as required by site procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
