Duties
Perform Strategic Asset Management (SAM); including collaborating with our clients to develop Asset Management Policies and Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP) that align with the organizations vision and strategy. Enable our clients to translate SAMPs into action, helping them build Asset Management capabilities, and Asset Management Plans for asset categories. Advise client on Asset Management Governance & Risk Management. Conduct ISO 55000 / ISO 55001 Assessments. Link Strategic Asset Management to capabilities such as Asset Performance Management (APM), Asset Investment Planning (AIP) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). Outline specific performance measures, targets, and goals to articulate the business case for realized efficiencies or added value. Define competitive advantage and achievable value to the client through use of the strategic change components and metrics. Formulate issue-based hypotheses and develop analytical plan for testing. Contribute to analysis of impact of strategic changes by defining linkages and interdependencies. Utilize specialized knowledge to produce moderately complex work products and solutions across many phases of an engagement or one phase of a more complex engagement. Transfer knowledge, capabilities and skills to improve others' knowledge and skill levels. Enhance established working relationships with team members and management from within the client's organization. Contribute to quality review on our engagements. Ascertain and meet client expectations within scope of engagement role. Develop applicable knowledge bases by using best practices to redefine tools and techniques. Apply appropriate methods or recognized equivalent to identified client needs. Anticipate and resolve technical problems with occasional technical assistance from others. Contribute to the development of a project plan for team or sub-engagement. Develop, present, and defend conclusions, recommendations, and implementation plans. Identify technical issues impacting an engagement and propose solutions. Analyze and apply best practices knowledge of the industry. Recommend appropriate resources based on the phases of the assignment. Delegate work to assigned team members. Use defined processes and practices in assessing engagement risks. Manage engagement issues in less complex project or escalates issues in more complex project. Assist Black & Veatch in enhancing existing SAM offerings. Collaborate with Black & Veatch Teams to create new SAM offerings. No hire / fire authority. Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related degree plus 5 years of related experience in business or consulting environment or direct utility experience. Experience must include full lifecycle of Asset Management. Experience required in Asset Risk and Performance projects with developing Asset Management Policy, Strategic Asset Management Plan, and Asset Management Plan; experience performing asset risk analysis; experience performing ISO 55000 Standard Maturity assessment; and experience with Gas or Electric Distribution; and Asset Management Processes and Work Management Processes. Experience with the implementation of Asset Investment planning and enterprise asset management solutions for medium to large organizations is required, including Copperleaf and Maximo EAM. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English.
