Are you highly organized, great with people, and motivated by helping others succeed? Join our Training Department as a CDL Training Coordinator , where you'll play an essential role in guiding students through their path to becoming licensed commercial drivers.
This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves problem-solving, and enjoys being the go-to person for students, instructors, and state agencies. Every day, you’ll help keep our training program running smoothly — and directly contribute to student success.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be the heartbeat of the CDL training process. You’ll :
Coordinate CDL permit exams, road tests, road trips, and student training schedules
Communicate regularly with students about testing, training expectations, and DMV / RMV requirements
Follow up with students who miss scheduled activities and help get them back on track
Support students with self-certification steps and drug testing logistics
Maintain accurate training records, rosters, and student progress documentation
Enter road trips into the CVUE system and support student retention efforts
Assist graduates needing return training or help with RMV / DMV issues
Keep instructor Driver Qualification (DQ) files up to date
Prepare instructor credentialing documents for internal and state review
Track instructor certifications and maintain compliance
Maintain registrations, insurance certificates, vehicle and equipment inventories
Assist with federal and state filings (IFTA, MC-150, UCR, DOT records)
Provide weekly reports on student progress, attendance, and testing
Keep digital and paper files organized, accurate, and easy to access

What We’re Looking For Required
High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of administrative, clerical, or student services experience
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to juggle multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred
Associate degree or experience in education, transportation, or vocational training
Experience working with RMV / DMV or regulatory agencies
Familiarity with CDL programs or DOT-related documentation
Background in compliance or recordkeeping
