Position Summary

The Extrusion Operator is responsible for the efficient setup and operation of extrusion lines to safely produce high-quality PET sheet in accordance with Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), production schedules, setup instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safety, product quality, and production efficiency.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Shift : 6 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 AM
  • Pay : $25.00 / hour base (higher depending on experience)
  • Shift Premium : $2.00 / hour (night shift)
  • Start Date : ASAP

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and quality standards meet or exceed company expectations
  • Consistently meet daily production goals and performance targets
  • Set up and operate extrusion equipment to run custom film sizes and thicknesses
  • Blend PET resin components as required (virgin resin, regrind, color masterbatch, etc.)
  • Perform in-process quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met
  • Troubleshoot and adjust the extrusion line to correct quality issues or improve output rates
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding safety, quality, or production concerns
  • Follow all GMP, quality, and safety policies and procedures
  • Complete production documentation accurately
  • Perform other duties as assigned

    • Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
  • 1–3 months of related experience and / or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical documents
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends as needed
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a fast-paced production setting
