Job Title : Registered Nurse

Position / Specialty : Medical-Surgical / Telemetry RN

Ratios : 1 : 6-1 : 7

Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend

On-call Requirement : No

Floating Requirement : Yes, within scope to meet facility needs

First-timers accepted : No, travel experience is required

Required experience includes telemetry and the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.

All assigned modules must be completed prior to the start date.

Attendance at staff meetings is required.

The facility holds the right to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks if necessary.

If a traveler calls out without a documented medical reason more than twice, the contract may be considered for cancellation.

The facility is a short-term acute care hospital.

Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics.

Daily census averages around 36 patients.

The facility consists of 41 rooms and beds.

Interdisciplinary support includes Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.

Traveler awareness of hurricane season is crucial as employees may be assigned to emergency response teams during this period.
