We are seeking a Program Engineer to work onsite in Largo, FL. This position requires an active TS / SCI security clearance.

As the Program Engineer, you will help lead and execute complex programs, serving as a key partner to the Chief Engineer and Program Manager. You will ensure strategic alignment, drive process improvements, and maintain operational excellence across multiple Contract Line Items (CLINs), with a primary focus on Sustainment CLINs. Acting as a force multiplier, you will proactively identify and remove roadblocksfrom day-to-day trouble ticket resolution to broader programmatic challengesto keep standard operations on track. In the absence of the Program Manager, you will assume leadership responsibility to ensure continuous delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in the management of end-to-end program execution, ensuring tasks / projects are aligned with strategic and contractual objectives.
• Maintain, monitor, and update program plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocationsprimarily on Sustainment CLINs.
• Serve as an operations manager, driving resolution of trouble tickets, workflow blockers, and sustainment support issues.
• Act as a roadblock mitigator across teams, ensuring smooth daily operations and enabling program staff to stay focused on delivery.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other performance metrics; generate insights, track outcomes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead special initiatives or process improvement projects to optimize engineering workflows and reduce inefficiencies.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies across CLINs.
• Prepare and deliver status reports, presentations, and documentation for senior leadership, stakeholders, clients, and partners.
• Act as the point-of-contact in the Program Manager's absence to ensure operational continuity.
• Assist in resource planning, change control, and compliance with contractual obligations, policies, and regulations.
• Support proposal development, staffing, and long-range program planning.
• Foster strong communication and collaboration with clients, partners, and internal teams. This is a customer-facing position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• Must have strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Have the ability to drive change, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Responsible for participating in cross-functional team efforts in definition, implementation and development, integration, verification and validation of products, services and systems.
• Responsible for technical risks associated with domain or discipline.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education / training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and / or the company's performance. This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
