Transactional Legal Secretary Lafayette (Onsite)
A well-established regional law firm with multiple offices across Louisiana and Texas is seeking an experienced Transactional Legal Secretary to join its Lafayette office. This position is fully onsite and supports attorneys handling real estate, title, and business transactional matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Support business and real estate transaction work, including title insurance and loan closing documentation
- Compile and prepare transactional documents and exhibits
- Perform advanced editing, formatting, and proofreading with high accuracy
- Redact, revise, and organize documents and supporting materials
- Manage conflict checks, file opening, and maintenance of electronic and physical matter files
- Coordinate attorney time entry, expense reimbursements, calendars, and occasional travel
- Utilize timekeeping, billing, redlining, and document management systems
Qualifications
