As a Functional Safety Engineer within the Process and Methods of US team you contribute to the definition integration and support of engineering processes and tools

across the North America E / E Platform. You ensure that development processes are consistent well-documented and aligned with global standards. You support tool integration and

provide guidance to specialist departments to enable efficient and compliant engineering workflows.

Were seeking an experienced Functional Safety professional to drive the continuous improvement and practical implementation of our Functional Safety

Management System (FSMS) framework across customers E / E systems. Youll ensure our framework is efficient compliant with ISO 26262 and fully aligned with the needs of ongoing

and future programs.

The Process and Methods US team is responsible for ensuring engineers in NASA E / E development have the processes methods and tools they need throughout the development lifecycle. This

ensures consistency and quality in our products that are safe and secure by design. The team defines processes methods and tools in collaboration with specialist departments within customer

counterparts to ensure alignment with global modular development objectives.

Responsibilities :

Lead the development refinement and rollout of FSMS processes and tools

Translate ISO 26262 requirements into pragmatic usable methods for engineers

Collaborate across sites and domains to ensure consistency and scalability

Contribute in an agile environment focusing on incremental improvements and frequent releases over one-time solutions

Support and coach teams in applying Functional Safety practices

Requirements :

Bachelors or masters degree in Process Engineering Systems Engineering Computer Science or related field.

Experience in Systems Engineering and Requirements Development

Experience in UML Modeling and System Specification

In depth Knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety

Experience with E / E Systems and Mechatronics

Expertise in defining and integrating cross-functional

engineering processes

Experience in documenting and maintaining end-to-end development lifecycle processes

Proficiency in supporting and rolling out common engineering tools (e.g. Jira Capital plugin)

Ability to ensure tool interfaces align with defined processes and methods Supported Skills

Alignment with global modular development objectives

Process and methods support for engineering teams

Toolchain integration and support for engineering workflows

Strong understanding of systems engineering and E / E architecture

Experience with UML architecture modeling and engineering toolchains

In-depth understanding of ISO 26262 and cybersecurity standards.

Required Skills :

Proven experience in key Functional Safety roles (e.g. Safety Manager Senior Safety Engineer)

Deep understanding of ISO 26262 and its practical application in E / E development

Hands-on experience with safety lifecycle activities in

automotive programs

Strong ability to balance compliance with practical and efficient implementation

Excellent communication and influencing skills across technical and organizational levels
