Job Overview
The position of Facilities Operations Manager in Fresno, CA involves overseeing the daily operations of the plant. The manager will be responsible for implementing the Operating Plan, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring plant operating conditions are maintained at optimum levels.
Main Responsibilities
Maintain maximum thermal and electrical outputs efficiently.
Communicate plant conditions to Plant Manager and take necessary actions accordingly.
Provide guidance on equipment conditions and maintenance requirements.
Manage Environmental QA / QC compliance.
Supervise plant personnel training and maintain Training Manual.
Prepare reports for stakeholders and regulators.
Maintain plant records and operating manuals.
Ensure employee morale and address concerns.
Oversee water chemistry program implementation.
Assist in hiring O&M personnel.
Working Relationships
Report to Plant Manager and supervise O&M staff. Collaborate with Administrative Manager when necessary.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent. Relevant experience can substitute for education.
Experience : 5 years in power plant operations and 2 years in supervisory role.
Preferred : Gas turbine experience.
Certifications : Any relevant licenses or certifications.
Skills : Strong leadership and motivation.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
Job involves standing for extended periods, climbing stairs / ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Protective gear required for certain tasks. Potential exposure to hazardous materials. Must be willing to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and be on call when needed.
