Family Medicine Physician Job Details

Location : Portsmouth, New Hampshire (03801) – New Hampshire healthcare jobs

Assignment Dates : November 1, 2025 – December 27, 2025

Employment Type : Locum tenens (Travel / Contract physician job)

Setting : Hospital-based trauma unit

Shifts : 8-9 days per month; 8 or 12-hour shifts (0700-1500 or 0700-1900)

Weekly Hours : Approx. 36 hours

Estimated Weekly Salary : $6460 - $7660

Patient Volume : Average of 10 patients per day

Practice EMR : Meditech Expanse

Family Medicine Physician Qualifications

Active New Hampshire State Medical License or eligibility (NH physician jobs)

Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine

ATLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in family medicine, trauma, or critical care

Experience in trauma surgery, emergency medicine, or critical care preferred

Key Responsibilities

Provide on-site trauma coverage and back-up support as scheduled

Assist with trauma surgery cases and perform first assist duties

Conduct inpatient rounding and participate in critical care management

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including surgeons, advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and support staff

Document patient care in the Meditech Expanse EMR system

Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to trauma and critical care patients
