Baptist Health Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to be part of our exceptional healthcare team. Our urgent care centers are located in Jacksonville, AR, and we pride ourselves on delivering quality and affordable family healthcare across multiple locations.

Baptist Health Urgent Care, an affiliate of Urgent Team, operates 23 locations in Arkansas, offering a wide range of healthcare services, including treatment for injuries and illnesses, occupational health, and wellness care. Our centers are conveniently open seven days a week.

Job Summary :

As an LPN, your vital role will include welcoming patients, managing their files, and supporting both patients and medical staff. Full-time team members will work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts during weekdays and every other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members will be scheduled as needed.

Key Responsibilities :

This position has several key duties, including but not limited to :

• Welcome and prepare patients for their examinations or procedures.
• Document patient health histories and alert physicians to any concerning conditions.
• Guide patients on how to collect samples and perform tests.
• Obtain vital signs and escort patients to their rooms.
• Assist with the preparation of medical supplies and support staff during treatments and examinations.
• Administer prescribed medications and injections as directed by physicians, observing and reporting on patient conditions.
• Ensure accurate and timely entries in patient charts and maintain organized records.
• Schedule tests and treatments and manage referrals and pre-authorizations.
• Collect and deliver lab specimens, obtain test results, and inform patients about their results and follow-ups.
• Sanitize and restock treatment rooms after procedures.
• Follow infection control protocols and manage hazardous waste appropriately.
• Educate patients and their families about medications, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Assist practitioners during physical exams.
• Order medications from pharmacies and notify patients accordingly.
• Maintain inventory of medications and medical supplies.
• Respond to and triage phone calls effectively to ensure efficient departmental operations.
