A day in this role
Report to the Service Manager, hop in a truck, and hit the road to customer sites throughout the region. You’ll spend most days diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems on shot blast equipment, with extensive travel (about 80% of the week, primarily driving with overnights). You live within 90 miles of Cleveland, OH and you’re comfortable flexing your schedule — evenings and weekends when customer needs demand it.
What you’ll do
- Lay out and install wiring and circuits in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
- Champion safe work practices at all times, especially when working on energized systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics to wire machines and control panels accurately.
- Perform precise conduit work (EMT and RMC) including bending and installation.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in the shop and in the field on new and existing equipment.
- Install and commission new machinery, ensuring smooth start-up and handoff.
- Conduct inspections and produce thorough follow-up reports with on-time documentation.
- Submit weekly expense reports with accuracy and timeliness.
- Support Sales by serving as a technical resource for new product offerings.
- Train customers on operation, maintenance, and best practices for their equipment.
- Model and reinforce BCT’s Culture and Core Values in every interaction.
Travel : 80% weekly (mostly driving) with overnight stays as needed.
Schedule : Extremely flexible; weekends as required to support customers.

High school diploma or equivalent.Journeyman or Master Electrician credential, or 5–7 years of relevant high-voltage electrical experience.Experience with PLCs, control systems, and root-cause analysis is a plus.Driving and fitness requirements
This role involves regular driving. A valid, unexpired driver’s license is required, and candidates will be required to complete a physical evaluation.
