Industrial Field Service Electrician — Shot Blast Systems

A day in this role

Report to the Service Manager, hop in a truck, and hit the road to customer sites throughout the region. You’ll spend most days diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems on shot blast equipment, with extensive travel (about 80% of the week, primarily driving with overnights). You live within 90 miles of Cleveland, OH and you’re comfortable flexing your schedule — evenings and weekends when customer needs demand it.

What you’ll do

• Lay out and install wiring and circuits in accordance with applicable electrical codes.
• Champion safe work practices at all times, especially when working on energized systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics to wire machines and control panels accurately.
• Perform precise conduit work (EMT and RMC) including bending and installation.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical issues in the shop and in the field on new and existing equipment.
• Install and commission new machinery, ensuring smooth start-up and handoff.
• Conduct inspections and produce thorough follow-up reports with on-time documentation.
• Submit weekly expense reports with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support Sales by serving as a technical resource for new product offerings.
• Train customers on operation, maintenance, and best practices for their equipment.
• Model and reinforce BCT’s Culture and Core Values in every interaction.

Travel : 80% weekly (mostly driving) with overnight stays as needed.

Schedule : Extremely flexible; weekends as required to support customers.

This role involves regular driving. A valid, unexpired driver’s license is required, and candidates will be required to complete a physical evaluation.

Applicants will not be eligible to drive for this role if their Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) shows any of the following (most within the last 3 years unless noted) :
