Physician Behavioral Health

Deaconess Health System is seeking a compassionate, board-eligible or board-certified Psychiatrist to join our outpatient behavioral health team in Henderson, KY or Evansville, Indiana. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position serving patients in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting with strong clinical and administrative support.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental health conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans.

Provide medication management and ongoing therapeutic support for patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions.

Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated patient care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Adhere to ethical, legal, and regulatory standards for psychiatric care.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Completion of an accredited residency in Psychiatry.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry.

Eligible for an Indiana medical license.

ECFMG certification for international medical graduates (if applicable).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
