Medical Receptionist Responsibilities :
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional mannerManage the patient check-in processes efficientlyConfirm or update patient demographics manually or via mobile check in toolProcess insurance information, including Medicare, and verify patient eligibilityAssist in scanning and indexing important documents (ID, insurance card, imaging reports, registration forms, etc.) into the appropriate software programsVerify office visit charges have been entered in a timely and accurate mannerCollaborate with other medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient careMaintain a clean, safe, and organized reception areaUtilize office management systems effectively to streamline operationsSkills / Requirements :
Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is requiredFamiliarity with EHR systems such as Allscripts, NextGen, eCW, athenahealth, etc.Strong organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent customer service skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalismClean background and credit history required
