Clinical Manager Of Child Life & Integrative Care

This Clinical Manager will have managerial oversight of the Child Life College Hill / Psychiatry Team, and the hospital-wide Integrative Care Team. Job responsibilities include leading teams to ensure quality patient care outcomes, developing and implementing goals, standards, policies, educational programs, procedures, and practices in alignment with strategic plans of the Division, sustaining a working understanding of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, evaluating for compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards, and providing leadership on initiatives, projects, or programs.

Required Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; master's degree strongly preferred. 3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline required; 5+ years of leadership experience is preferred. RN License in the State of Ohio required.

About the Division of Child Life & Integrative Care at Cincinnati Children's

Cincinnati Children's is home to one of the country's largest and most experienced pediatric child life and integrative care teams. Child Life works with patients of all ages in different medical settings to help support emotional safety and normalize the process of receiving medical care. Child Life Specialists provide developmental, social, and emotional support to infants, children, teenagers, and their families. Our goal is to help families understand their child's reactions to hospitalization and help patients cope. Child Life Specialists are certified members of the healthcare team, with advanced degrees in child life, education, child development, or related fields.

Our Integrative Care Department partners with inpatient medical teams to go beyond traditional treatments in caring for the whole person body, mind, spirit. The team includes registered nurses (RNs) and licensed massage therapists (LMTs) with ongoing, advanced clinical training and certifications. Their care is person-centered, relationship-based, and is focused on creating an optimal healing environment for patients and families. They offer clinical aromatherapy, guided imagery, healing touch / Reiki, mindfulness / mindful practices, relaxation breathing, acupressure, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, relaxation yoga, and therapeutic / comfort massage.
