Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of configuration management systems
- Generate program configuration management plans
- Manage document release processes
- Ensure BOMs are correct across all database systems
- Ensure Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) are properly implemented and documented
- Facilitate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings
- Ensure CCB directives are properly implemented
- Perform configuration verification and audits
- Ensure controls are in place for proper parts tracking (serialization, etc.)
- Prepare contract data item submittals to established delivery schedules
- Present configuration plans and status in customer meetings
- Develop plans, guidelines, and procedures regarding configuration management
- Prepare cost estimates for CM activities
- Provide training to staff in the use of configuration management tools
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in the field of Configuration/Data Management
- BA/BS in engineering or related technical field
- 8+ years of CM experience, working with high complexity products
- Demonstrated ability to review engineering technical data for completeness and correctness.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools
- Experience with CAD data systems
- Experience with Jira
- Familiar with SAE EIA-649 / MIL-HDBK-61 standards
Desired skills/experience:
- Experience with PTC Windchill and Empower PLM software
- Direct experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 audits
- Experience in space hardware engineering and manufacturing
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment. The salary range for this position is ($101,098/year- $131,427/year. This range reflects the good faith estimate of pay the employer is willing to offer at the time of posting. Several factors can influence the pay scale, including but not limited to: Federal contract labor categories and contract wage rates, collective bargaining agreements, geographic location, business considerations, scope, and responsibilities of the position, local or other applicable market conditions, and internal equity. Other factors include the candidate’s qualifications such as prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education/training, and certifications.
