Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Registered Respiratory Care Specialist, you'll be crucial in delivering both routine care and critical support to patients. You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, manage ventilatory support, and utilize advanced respiratory technology. Your role will include:

• Assessing respiratory status through focused exams, breath sound interpretation, and determining intervention needs.
• Providing evidence-based therapy including oxygen support and aerosolized medications in critical and acute care settings.
• Managing ventilation and airways by assisting in airway placements, adjusting ventilation, and responding to clinical changes.
• Educating and supporting patients and families while collaborating with the care team to ensure the best outcomes.
• Maintaining equipment and safety by ensuring the operational readiness and cleanliness of respiratory tools while following infection control protocols.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of starting.
• Active Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner license.
• Associate Degree or completion of a Vocational Program in Respiratory Therapy.
