As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology and Digital Solutions team, you will be an integral part of an agile team that's constantly pushing the envelope to enhance, build, and deliver top-notch technology products. You will lead the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications with a focus on AWS services, including ECS Fargate and API Gateway. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lead Java Developer with a strong background in AWS, particularly with ECS Fargate and API Gateway. The ideal candidate will possess excellent design skills, capable of creating solutions that are performant, scalable, cost-effective, and easy to maintain. This role requires providing technical leadership and guiding a team of developers to deliver innovative and efficient solutions. Experience in working with Databricks, Spark, and the Financial Industry is a plus.

Job responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of Java-based applications with a focus on AWS services, including ECS Fargate and API Gateway.
• Design and implement microservices architecture to ensure scalability, flexibility, and maintainability of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that meet performance and scalability requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, with a focus on cost-effectiveness and maintainability.
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs, ensuring high-quality code and application performance.
• Participate in architectural discussions and design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
