Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years Med / Tele RN experience

Patient Types / Common Diagnoses :

Various diagnoses – Cardiac, Respiratory, Neuro, etc.

Fast-paced, Observation

Patient Ratios :

RN : 1 : 5-6 (Day and Night)

Required Licensure & Certifications :

RN : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Skills required :

Basic Med / Tele skillset : Cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating Cardiac drips (Cardizem / Amiodarone), general medical / surgical skillset – care of patients with tubes / drains, IV start skills, blood products, wound care / dressing changes, etc.

Support within the Department :

CNA – 1 : 12 ratio

No HUC

Charge nurse – may have patient assignment, always a resource for staff

Phlebotomy

IV / VAT Team

RT, 24 / 7

Hospitalist – on site Dayshift; Virtual in evenings / overnight

Intensivist, 24 / 7

Telemetry monitoring – remote with Tele tech

Technology / Equipment :

EMR : EPIC

IV Pump : Alaris

Med dispensing : Omnicell

Monitors : Massimo in all rooms

Floating :

Within region and scope of practice

Will be required to float per region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable

Region 3 - Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)

If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
