Assistant Teacher The Learning Experience Clarkston

Pay : $16$18 per hour

Schedule : Full-Time, MondayFriday

Location : The Learning Experience Clarkston, MI

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience Clarkston is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our classrooms are joyful, engaging spaces where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
  • Assist with implementing The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum , helping children grow socially, cognitively, and emotionally.
  • Help maintain daily classroom routines and structure.
  • Build warm, positive relationships with children and families.
  • Communicate daily with parents through classroom apps and conversations.
  • Support individualized learning goals and help observe child progress.
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with Michigan childcare licensing standards.
  • Collaborate with your teaching team and center leadership to promote a positive, high-quality learning environment.

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare setting preferred.
  • CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework a plus, but not required.
  • Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available).
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about supporting early learners.
