Senior Living of Bakersfield -

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Provide general assistance with various financial, administrative, and personnel-related tasks as directed by leadership.

Support front desk operations, ensuring coverage during open hours and offering guidance or training as needed.

Help with maintaining accurate records related to residents, employees, and financial processes.

Communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, and outside contacts to foster a positive and supportive environment.

Assist with payroll, billing, reporting, or other financial activities as requested.

Contribute to staff onboarding, orientation, or other team support activities.

Participate in meetings, training sessions, events, and community programs as assigned.

Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with established policies and procedures.

Provide support in correspondence, filing, and day-to-day office operations.

Perform additional duties or responsibilities as needed.

Additional Functions

Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of work.

Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with flexibility to handle changing priorities.

Present a professional appearance and maintain a courteous, cooperative, and empathetic approach.

Exhibit leadership qualities, adaptability, and initiative in daily responsibilities.

Collaborate as part of a team while also being detail-oriented and dependable.

Participate in ongoing education, workshops, or trainings to maintain and improve skills.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written forms.

Strong computer and organizational skills; general knowledge of bookkeeping or record-keeping preferred.

Commitment to maintaining a safe, drug-free, and compliant workplace.

Ability to pass applicable health and background checks.

Experience working with older adults, including those with memory care needs, is preferred.

Passion for supporting seniors and creating a positive environment.

Physical Demands and Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and remain active throughout the day.

Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, push, pull, and reach as needed during shifts.

Sufficient manual dexterity to handle office tasks and assist with daily operations.
