BAS Technician/Controls Technician

Position Summary

The Building Automation Systems Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, configuring and programming software and hardware for DOC Building Automation Systems.

Position Details

• Collaborate with the engineering team on the system configuration, network and software requirements, graphics, programming, and sequences of operations.
• Configures the graphics, database, network, and integrations.
• Develops programming, graphics, and sequences of operations for DOC control systems.
• Maintains accurate and thorough project documentation and redlines.
• Records and communicates deviations to the project team.
• Executes system functional testing and commissioning.
• Executes systems upgrades and BAS maintenance on exiting accounts.
• Provides owner trainings required by the project.
• Provide high quality customer service and in line with operational processes.
• Capable of pulling wires as needed

Qualifications

• Niagara N4 certification and experience required
• JCI, Honeywell, and/or Trane controller experience helpful but not required for consideration
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
• Thorough understanding of testing, validation and troubleshooting of large and complex controls systems
• Thorough understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and common controls sequences along with fundamental control theory and logic
• Excellent writing and computer skills with proficient knowledge of MSOffice applications
• Ability to maintain diplomacy and professionalism while engaged in high pressure situations
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills
• Thorough understanding of building automation and mechanical systems
• Ability to write programming for automation systems
• Understanding of I/T networks and networked systems
• Ability to integrate systems on different platforms
• Effective communicator
• Niagra 4 certification
