Summary of Role / Position
CarParts.com, Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Analyst with deep expertise in pricing strategy, pricing automation, and revenue optimization . This role will play a critical part in designing, maintaining, and scaling automated pricing logic while delivering high-impact insights that influence revenue, margin, and competitive positioning.
As a senior member of the Data Science team , you will work closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, Product, IT, and Executive Leadership to translate complex pricing data into actionable business decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with hands-on technical skills and a proven ability to influence stakeholders through data.
Day-to-day responsibilities
Own and continuously improve pricing logic, pricing models, and automation frameworks to support scalable, data-driven pricing decisionsDesign, implement, and monitor pricing strategies to optimize key business metrics including gross margin, revenue, and competitivenessLead pricing experimentation and testing (e.g., elasticity analysis, competitive pricing tests, promotions), translating results into clear recommendations for leadershipPartner with Merchandising, Marketing, and Product teams to identify pricing opportunities, risks, and performance gapsWork cross-functionally to define data requirements, analytical approaches, and modeling needsPerform data exploration, statistical analysis, and visual storytelling, automating recurring business reportsBuild and maintain scalable dashboards and self-service analytics tools that adapt to evolving business needsIdentify opportunities to optimize costs and streamline processes through analytics and automationApply strong coding, analytical thinking, and (where appropriate) machine learning techniques to translate business questions into actionable insightsClearly communicate complex findings in a concise, executive-ready format to technical and non-technical audiencesMinimal Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Business, Marketing, or another quantitative field5–7 years of professional experience in data analytics, with a strong focus on pricing, revenue, or monetization analyticsStrong experience with Tableau or similar data visualization toolsProficiency in Python, including Pandas, NumPy, and data visualization librariesSolid experience with SQLStrong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a deadline-driven environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to deliver insights and present findings clearly to stakeholdersCuriosity and willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and methodologiesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a teamPreferred Experience
Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative fieldExperience with Databricks, cloud data platforms, or large-scale analytics environmentsExperience designing or supporting ETL pipelines and data workflowsBackground in e-commerce, retail, marketplace, or supply-chain-driven pricing environmentsFamiliarity with price elasticity modeling, competitive pricing analysis, or promotional optimizationA reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position based of education, experience, and global geographic region is : $100,000-$140,000
