This role combines technical expertise in hardware security evaluation with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure efficient lab processes. You will play a critical part in delivering high‑assurance technologies and supporting a state‑of‑the‑art lab environment aligned with global certification standards.
Responsibilities
Support remote Security Analysts in their lab activities
related to security evaluation services and R&D.
Be physically present in the lab five days a week
to support hands‑on activities and ensure operational continuity.
Ensure optimal lab functionality
by preparing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance on equipment, while managing inventory tracking and proper use of all lab items.
Maintain compliance and operational standards
through adherence to lab policies, supporting audits, and supporting shipping and logistics for secure and quality‑controlled resource handling.
Perform
hardware security evaluations
(fault injection, side‑channel analysis, vulnerability analysis) on secure ICs and embedded systems.
Perform embedded system teardown and analysis , documenting hardware architecture and identifying potential attack surfaces.
Conduct security reviews and assessments , including evaluation of design documentation, vulnerability analysis, and hardware‑based testing using tools like oscilloscopes and JTAG interfaces.
Collaborate with engineering teams
to provide security recommendations and prepare detailed reports on risks and mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or Computer Engineering
or equivalent experience.
Ability to build and troubleshoot electronics for evaluation testing.
Hands‑on experience
in tearing down embedded systems (Smart Cards, Secure ICs, SoCs) and advanced soldering.
Strong
organizational skills
for lab operations, including inventory and compliance.
Excellent
communication skills
for cross‑functional collaboration and reporting.
Familiarity with lab equipment (power supplies, oscilloscopes, oscilloscope probes, etc.) and embedded programming (C, C++, Assembly).
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced technical environment; occasional travel may be required.
