Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, and overall condition. Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosage and proper documentation. Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, promptly recognizing and responding to any abnormalities or changes in patients' conditions. Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to provide coordinated and effective patient care. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and self-care strategies. Assist with various medical procedures, including wound care, line insertion, and patient transfers. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Adhere to all infection control protocols and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements of the Travel PCU Nurse : Active RN license (Kentucky or Compact State) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years' recent PCU experience Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, arrhythmia recognition, and critical care medications.
