Hematologist / Oncologist (Brooklyn)

A leading hospital in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist / Oncologist to join its growing Oncology team.

Responsibilities :

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hematology / oncology care
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with cancer and blood disorders
• Participate in tumor board conferences, care coordination meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
• Engage in clinical documentation and treatment planning using the hospital's EMR system (EPIC)
• Collaborate with other specialists to ensure continuity of care
• Participate in clinical trials or academic research
• Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and disease management

Qualifications :

Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution

Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Hematology and / or Oncology

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and / or Medical Oncology

Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of New York

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Commitment to serving a diverse patient population in a community-focused environment

Desired Skills :

Bilingual

Prior experience in an Urban Hospital or Safety-Net setting

Interest in Teaching, Mentoring, or Research
