American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist I with an active MA Radiologic Technologist license and 1-2 years of experience in diagnostic imaging.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hospital radiology X-ray unit serving diverse patient populationsResponsibilities include performing X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and other diagnostic imaging procedures as orderedShifts are Mondays and Wednesdays, 7 : 30am to 8 : 00pm, totaling 24 hours per weekUse of equipment includes X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI scanners, and associated accessoriesPatient care required throughout preparation, positioning, and post-procedure activitiesEpic EMR charting system is used; experience preferredResponsible for patient preparation, explanation of procedures, and technical troubleshooting to ensure diagnostic image qualityAdheres to strict radiation safety protocols and uses lead aprons and shields as appropriateMaintains thorough and accurate patient records in the EMR systemFlu vaccine is required with no religious or medical exemptions allowedScrubs must align with hospital guidelinesNo pending or conditional MA licenses acceptedLocal candidates must have permanent residence at least 60 miles from the facility; local rate applied if within 60 milesPublic transportation or daily paid parking may be necessary due to lack of validated parking\n \n Requirements\n
Active Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required; license required if applicableAssociate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required1-2 years of experience in radiology technology requiredARRT registration preferredBLS certification (AHA preferred) is recommendedKnowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and patient positioning necessaryFamiliarity with X-ray, CT, and MRI procedures and protocols expectedAbility to lift 35 lbs or more and meet the physical demands of frequent standing and walking\n Benefits\n
