Boutique Workers Compensation and Employment Firm seeks a legal assistant / case manager for our Workers Compensation Department. Must have 1+ years of experience. The successful candidate will have experience processing all aspects of a workers compensation case under the direction of an experienced attorney and with the assistance of a support team. We are looking for a results-driven individual, who works well under pressure, and can prioritize and balance competing demands.

Must be Spanish speaking.

Job duties include, but not limited to :

  • Preparing applications; petitions; DORs (including e-filing);
  • Drafting written correspondence;
  • Scheduling depositions; scheduling medical appointments, including AME and PQME evaluations;

    • Requesting QME Panels,

  • IMR appeals, preparing outgoing correspondence and schedules of records;
  • Maintaining and organizing files, and managing case files from intake to settlement;
  • Communicating with clients and opposing counsel and fielding incoming calls;
  • Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook and possess excellent writing skills;
  • preparing the files for the attorney for upcoming hearings;

    • MerusCase familiarity is a plus.
