Must be able to participate in de-escalation training and implementation (if applicable) Displays professionalism, including integrity and confidentiality. Demonstrates flexibility in schedule and activities throughout the day. Demonstrates cooperation, collaboration, openness for growth and willingness to contribute in a team approach. Assists Principal and Certified School Nurse in maintenance and confidentiality of all student health records. Directs nursing care to the student(s). Participates in the creation and implementation of the Medical Plan and Procedures for the student. Assists with the routine and instructional program of the classroom, as required. Provides support in the areas of personal care, hygiene, toileting, feeding, etc., as needed. Escorts students from busses or cars at the start of classes and escort students to appropriate busses or cars at the end of classes when required. Attends and participate in assigned meetings and trainings, as directed. Attends team meetings and parent-teacher conferences, if requested or as appropriate. Performs other similar duties as directed by the teacher or the principal. 7.5 hours per day Nurse works days and hours that students are in attendance. Nurse may need to ride school bus, as outlined in Medical Plan. Salary to be established by the Board of Education.
